Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Biotechnology Alliance will play a crucial role to boost biotechnology development in Hong Kong and the cities of the Greater Bay Area. With well-developed cross-boundary transportation networks and facilities, there is frequent communication and partnership between the cities. In recent years cross-boundary passenger traffic has been on the rise, and in 2018, over 235 million passenger trips crossed the border via land crossing with a daily average of over 640, 000 passenger trips.

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Biotechnology Alliance will achieve this vision by representing members across all areas related to biotechnology. We are dedicated to establishing and facilitating a worldwide platform for the GBA biotech industry, promoting awareness, encouraging and enabling international collaboration and providing informed opinion and technical advice to government bodies, healthcare institutions and the general public. Our members will be involved in the research and development of innovative healthcare, agricultural, industrial and environmental biotechnology products made possible through biotechnology, to conquer disease, sustain our environment, and advance nutrition and healthfulness.

We will achieve our mission by developing and maintaining relationships with experienced and knowledgeable practitioners from the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries worldwide, administering and overseeing education training programs, seminars and conferences in Hong Kong and China. We are encouraging and facilitating the advancement and dissemination of biotech knowledge; creating a membership forum, leveraging core expertise in providing collaborative solutions to the development of leading-edge products and services in all fields related to biotechnology.
