About Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
- Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area covers an area of 56,000 square kilometers, with a population of 66 million and has a total economic value close to that of the New York Bay Area
- As these major cities have a great advantage in utilizing scientific and technological achievements for mass productivity, this will be the key to transform the Greater Bay Area into a comprehensive, world-class science and technology innovation center
- This region is going to become the true Southern gate of China, with one end connected to the world and the other end connected to more than 400 million people in the densely populated areas of Western, Central and Southern China. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) comprises of the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, and the nine municipalities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province.
