GBABA

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Biotechnology Alliance

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Biotechnology Alliance is a non-profit organization bringing together the world-leading biotechnology companies, innovative entrepreneurs, prospective scientists and researchers, academic institutions and governmental entities across the 11 cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) to collaborate, advocate and cultivate the life sciences industry through networking, partnering and education.

With a population of 70 million and a gross domestic product of US$1.5 trillion, the GBA provides an enormous market and invaluable opportunities for biotechnology development. Our members are well-placed to motivate the biotech industry and provide young leaders and enterprises with new horizons to expand to the GBA market.

Hong Kong, as a leading city in Asia, offers unprecedented opportunities for biomedical technology facilitated by increased funding and support from the Hong Kong Government. GBABA is also working towards enriching the industry by providing unparalleled networking, partnering and education opportunities. We organize international biotechnology events, in collaboration with numerous industry-leading investors and partnering events held across the world.

Global collaboration is increasingly important as governments around the world seek to develop comprehensive policy frameworks to support biotechnology innovation. We share a commitment to building a global network for smooth communication, ultimately completing our biotech ecosystem as “East Meets West”.

Advocate

In an effort to achieve our shared goals of bringing changes to the biotechnology development, we work together with scientists, academics, investors and government bodies to promote biotech to the community.
